I got the line run in the channels I ran under the baggage and rear seats. I’m going to have to make modifications to the side panel now to get access to hide both the wires and this static line behind the other panels I took off. I had put this off but I really should get it done so that my future wire runs can go unfettered. I am going to review how I should run the static line as well to get around the bulkheads and see if I can drill mounting holes for the adel clamps to hold the static line along the top of the tailcone. I ended up finding the fittings so I just need to figure out those final details.

I am going to try to mount the transponder antenna in the central control well but I need to make sure this is the right choice. I want to keep it away from the other antennas but I also don’t like having the antennas right next to us either but we’ll see what I might do. It will help because the coax run will be much shorter.

Another device I need to mount so that I can start plumbing up the pitot static system is the GSU 25C ADAHRS. I remember from my Garmin class at both Airventure 2022 & 2024 stated that you should not mount the ADAHRS to the display unit even though it has mounting holes for it to be there. It is only there for display purposes and not for production installs. But as I’m doing more and more research at how people are mounting these they are putting it to the display unit each and every time. Even professional installers are doing it. I don’t feel I’m going to go that route because the manufacturer has stated you shouldn’t but the one problem I have is the location I have selected seems pretty flimsy. One of the requirements is that the location of the ADAHRS needs to be very solid so I need to do more research before making the permanent mounting location for it. I also want to make sure the GEA 24 engine monitoring unit and the GAD 27 won’t interfere with its location either. So spent most of my time reviewing the install locations for both the antenna and this ADAHRS but hopefully I’ll get that solidifed soon and can get past this part of the avionics install.
