I am so close to finishing my CFI. My instructor is trying to get a date for the checkride so hopefully that will happen soon. The lady that we are using is very busy so hopefully we can get it done before Airventure as I would like to have that done by then to keep my pace up for what I want to accomplish this year.
I got the chance to go to ISACA 2026 this year in Las Vegas and as part of my time while I was there I went to Sky Combat Ace which is an aviation experience in northern Las Vegas. They have some fun experiences for people but I really wanted the aerobatic training experience they have. We did aileron rolls, barrel rolls, loops, spins, and then they demonstrated the Lomcovák, inverted flat spin, and a mountain flying tour. It was great experience and unfortunately I did start feeling queasy towards the end so we ended it after 40 minutes of flight. One thing I would change is I would hold on to the stick some to see exactly what the instructor was doing because not knowing exactly what was next is what got me queasy I feel as I am not normally one to get motion sickness. But it was very fun either way! I got the recordings and put it together in iMovie.
