Why we chose the RV-10

Each of the following characteristics were part of the selection process as to why we chose an experimental class aircraft and more specifically the Van's Aircraft RV-10

Payload/Seats

With a payload capacity roughly around 1070 - 1180lbs and a seating capacity of four people, this met the mission goals we had set of traveling with family or being able to carry heavier payloads.

Speed/Mission

The speed that the Van's Aircraft line up provides was something I could not pass up. Our mission is to travel with our family to multiple places around North/Central America. This provided us with the ability to get further in a shorter amount of time.

Community

The support community for Van's Aircraft is huge. Most of the EAA members that I've talked to have either built or are building an RV of their own. The experiences I've heard from word of mouth about Van's service have also won me over.

Meet the flight crew

This is very much a family affair. Each of us will be providing support for this project through out the build. I felt I should introduce you to each of our family members and anyone involved throughout the process.
